Permitted speeds:
50 km/h - within built-up areas 90 km/h - outside built-up areas 110
km/h - on major motor routes 130 km/h - on motorways 80 km/h - for motor
vehicles with a caravan trailer 80 km/h - for buses and buses with a
light trailer
- Driving with headlights is obligatory during both day and night.
- Mobile phones: Use of mobile phones while driving is not permitted.
- Maximum permitted amount of alcohol in blood: 0.0 per mill!
- Use of seat belts is obligatory!
Petrol stations.
Open from 7 a.m. until 7 or 8 p.m. every day; in the summer season,
until 10 p.m. On-duty petrol stations in the larger cities and on main
international routes are open 24 hours a day.
All petrol stations sell Eurosuper 95, Super 95, Super 98, Super plus
98, Normal and Euro Diesel fuel

Croatia by car motorway network news:
This year, on June 26, the Zagreb - Split Motorway, 375,5 km
long, was opened in its full length. After the opening of the Pirovac -
Vrpolje section, traveling from Zagreb to Split takes only about 180
minutes. 13 tunnels, 16 viaducts and 5 bridges have been built on the
motorway
Croatia by car - The Zagreb - Rijeka Motorway, 145,5 km long, was opened to
traffic on June 23, 2004, shortening the drive from Zagreb to Rijeka to
only 80 minutes (90 km is a full motorway and 56,5 km is a half motorway).
There are 13 tunnels, 5 bridges, 24 viaducts and 45 smaller underpasses
and overpasses on the motorway. Turning the remaining 56,5 km of the
half motorway into full motorway is under way.
