Korcula and its sandy beaches!

Korcula island beaches guide!

 

A Sandy beach in Luka korculanska bay is only 15 minutes

from the old town

 

 

This sland is the largest of the green islands of the Adriatic. From time immemorial it has been forested, which was why it was given the name Black Island during the colonisation of the ancient Greeks.

 

Korcula, a little Dubrovnik!The town is often referred as little Dubrovnik, because of its beauty and buildings.

 

The island  is also famous for its sandy beaches.
If you're staying in the town there is a sandy beach only a 15 minutes walking from the old town in Luka Korculanska Bay. You can also take a short taxi boat drive from the town harbor. Near the beach several bars are offering refreshment and food. The beach is popular with families with small children which enjoy shallow sandy waters of Kurculanska Bay.

Proizd beach on the island located near Vela Luka, on the small islet of Proizd
Here you'll find the list of other beaches including islands of Mljet, Peljesac Peninsula, Elafitti islands and Dubrovnik Area.
This island is one of the biggest islands of Croatia. Few people know that Marco Polo, the famous Venetian explorer was actually born here.
Lumbarda sandy beaches are one of the most beautiful on the island. Black island is one of the most beautiful islands of Croatia.
