South Dalmatia nudist beaches!
South Dalmatia and Dubrovnik Copacabana family Beach!

Korcula island - Peljesac Peninsula - Mljet island - Elafiti Islands - Dubrovnik Area
|
In South Dalmatia, besides official nudist resort and camps with parts assigned to naturists, there are many beaches
on the Adriatic that are not marked.
Make note that although naturism is
tolerated in here, don't be the first naturists on a beach you're not familiar
with, especially if it is in the vicinity of a town or village! A piece of
advice to lovers of naturism: take these recommendations into account.
After all, we are only offering this advice as good and hospitable hosts
to true naturists. Welcome! |

KORCULA ISLAND NATURIST GUIDE
Map of Korcula
Korcula, birthplace
of Marco Polo(1254),
is, after Lokrum and Mljet, the third most densely wooded island of
Croatia. There is much evidence of a highly-developed social life on
Korcula even in the 13th century. The Statute of Korcula, signed in
1214, prohibited the slave trade for the first time in Europe. It
also spoke about the order and management of the city.
Korcula makes an
excellent base for day trips to places like Mljet and other islands
of the Elafiti group (southeast of Korcula Island).
Korcula is also
famous for its traditional dance that has been performed for more
than four centuries.
The Moreska sword dance depicts the battle of two kings and
their armies for the love of a beautiful girl.

part of the island is an area less frequented by mass tourism and
situated in a protected bay closed in by the islets of Osijak,
Kamenijak, Gubesa and Proizd.
Islet of "PROIZD",

nature - crystal clear sea, rocks, white pebbles, naturist beaches
and lush vegetation are its main attractions.

SOUTH DALMATIA - MLJET
NATURIST GUIDE
Map of Mljet
MLJET - The island of Ulysses and nymph Calypso
Mljet is an eight largest island of the
Adriatic sea and one of the most indented. It is situated near wondrous
city of Dubrovnik and it has been inhabited since ancient Greek times.
70.6% of surface of the island is covered by forest and that is why
Mljet is also called "the green island".
Because of particularly attractive
landscapes of the western part of Mljet that area (about 1/3 of the
whole area) was declared a National park in 1960. Interesting note: Time
magazine places island of Mljet among 10 most beautiful islands of the
world. Jacques Cousteau considered this part of Adriatic as one of the
world's most beautiful diving locations.
Blace
-
naturist beach image
Blace beach is located in the most
beautiful sandy bay at the very southeastern end of the island. It takes
a twenty minutes of walk to get there from a small village called
Saplunara where you can stay in private accommodation. Isolated and away
from populated places it faces south and open sea, but still is shielded
by low cliffs.
Beach is nearly 1 km
long, surrounded by coronet of centenary pines and presents a shining
example of primordial intact nature. This is not an official naturist
beach and it is used by both naturists and textiles.

SOUTH DALMATIA - ELAFITI ARCHIPELAGO
NATURIST GUIDE
Elafiti Image
The elafiti islands can be reached
practically from every village located on the opposite side along the
coast. (starting from Slano down to Dubrovnik) Cars and motorcycles
are not permitted. Only people are allowed to go there
The Elafiti islands
with the beautiful, sandy beaches, are approx. 20 minutes by boat from
Dubrovnik. Boats are leaving from Dubrovnik's Gruz harbor. There are
fourteen islands in the Elafiti group. The larger and more important
islands in the group are Kolocep (1.35 km2), Lopud (4.63 km2), Sipan
(16.5 km2), Jakljan (3.45 km2) and Olipa (0.8 km2).
Only three of them
are inhabited (Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan), with a total of about one
thousand inhabitants. The main natural feature of these islands are
their woods. Except for small cultivated areas they are almost
completely covered by pine and high maquis, with all the ingredients
of evergreen Mediterranean vegetation.
The indented
coastline with lovely bays, beaches, picturesque cliffs and other
forms are a worthy accompaniment to the vegetational wealth of the
Elafiti. Friendly island inhabitants operate small restaurants, in
which you can enjoy the native kitchen and house-made wines. Despite
the proximity to Dubrovnik, because of their untouched nature, it
seems to be they are at the end of the world.
Lopud -
Image
The island of Lopud,
7nm north of Dubrovnik, can be reached by a boat from the new
Dubrovnik's harbour Gruz at 10am during high season (June to August).
Off season ferries operate only in the afternoon.
Lopud is a car free
island. Naturist beach is located in the wide horse shoe bay of Sunj (Šunj).
The bay is accessible from Lopud village on the island by a 1-km long
footpath and is overlooked by the Church of Our Lady of Sunj. This
beach is for those who prefer long sandy beaches. First half of the
beach is for textile sunbathers and second part is for naturists.
But there are some
naked people among the dressed ones, and vice versa. It is probably
one of the best sand beaches in the region. Accomodation is to be
found in the main village 20 mins away.

Kolocep - naturist beach Map

southern fruits all grow here.
Sipan
-
naturist beaches Map!
Sipan (Šipan) has a
long section of coastline which has traditionally been used by
tourists seeking the clothes optional alternative. Sipanjska Luka is
the biggest place on the island (150 residents) and it is located in
the beautifil deep cove.
An unwritten rule
says, in vicinity of asphalt shores you need a swim-suit (except in
Prijezba cove), while nudists and swimmers in suits share all other
coves.

The city of
Dubrovnik is situated in the very south of the Republic of Croatia.

the human heart. Centuries of insight and accord, a simple,
charming urban entity, whose integral spirit and concordance are
worthy of our deepest admiration. The city at the foot of hill Srd
is a highlight of the Adriatic and the whole Croatia.
