Central Dalmatia region runs from Trogir in the north-west only 20 km from Split to Ploce in the south-east. This region includes the large islands like Brac and Hvar and smaller islands like Vis, Bisevo and Solta. Dalmatia is much warmer than Istria or Kvarner region with countless quiet coves on Brac, Hvar, Vis and Solta island as well along the coastline of famous Makarska Riviera.

Central Dalmatia towns like Split, Trogir, Makarska and romantic Hvar town are the most visited places during the summer period. If you ask the local people to name their top islands, beside Hvar and Brac, the third will be Vis island.
