Croatia Makarska and its Riviera is one of the most famous tourist
destinations on the central Dalmatia coast. The 60 km long Makarska
Riviera is dotted with numerous pebble beaches, known for the smooth
white pebbles and sandy areas.
Makarska is sited below the mountain of Biokovo (1762 m),
which protects it from the cold continental climate and is
responsible for its rich Mediterranean vegetation, mild winters and
long, warm summers.
