Hvar reviews are not dedicated only to Hvar town but like in Korcula case, covers all the most important localities on Hvar island, like Stari Grad, Jelsa, Vrbovska and Sucuraj. Hvar is definitely the most known, the most visited and I must say the most attractive and fashionable destination after Dubrovnik.

Hvar town has a style and it isn’t a cheap destination. Reading this page you will find out how to avoid some typical tourist traps, specially in some restaurants.

This reviews won’t make vacation on Hvar island cheaper but it will help you reduce the expenses of a family holiday.

Hvar and Paklina islands

  • Since gasoline price in Croatia is rather high (compared with those in USA) don’t visit Hvar by car. Use a ferry boat connections from Split or from Rijeka or Dubrovnik.
  • Rent an apartment rather than booking a hotel. There are a lot of private owners offering rooms and apartments.
  • When you are in Hvar restaurant, don’t let to the owner to choose your fish meal, the bill could be shocking.
