Nudist islands and family vacations!

Croatia nudist islands may be an alternative for those who dont like crowded naturist resorts looking for off the beaten track naturist places. If you are a great sun worshipper then there is no better place to worship the sun in your birthday suits.

I have selected some of the best islands, some of them, dedicated only to naturist lovers. All islands are connected by regular boats or taxi boats, manly privately owned. The connections are more frequent in high season and usually run every half-hour. I have decided to start this presentation from South Dalmatia ( Dubrovnik region), following Central Dalmatia islands and at the end, Istria region.

The first island on our tour is a small island opposite Cavtat town, small and quiet peaceful place with lovely scenery, ideal for boat trips and bathing yet just a few kilometers away from beautiful Dubrovnik.

There is a regular boat service from Cavtat harbor to this small island (about 15 minutes boat ride). It is a rocky beach with clear sea around the island. You can combine your nudist vacations with diving activities and enjoy the marvels of the islands underwater life and ship wrecks sunk in this area. Dubrovnik nudist islands - Lokrum island - a short hop from the Old Town

If you want a break from busy streets of Dubrovnik you must go to Lokrum. Its quite easy to reach it by boat ride from the old harbor that leaves every half-hour. It takes only 10 minute to get to the island. There are walking footpaths all around the island. On the way to the naturist beach you can visit fascinating botanical garden and to take a break in local restaurants.

All islands beaches are not the sand type but rather areas of large flat stones along the shoreline. The nudist beach is clearly signed and it only for nudists. I have heard that there is a section for (unofficially) gay-male nudist.

The island is not too big and just takes a few hours to completely see it. Many people however, like to spend the whole day on this beautiful island. If you are a fan of kayaking, there is a full-day tour organized by Kayak Tours. During the tour you can drop in one of many coffee bars and the tour includes a very nice picnic launch. You will have a plenty of time for swimming and sun bathing. Kayaking and nudist swimming go together, don’t they?

Korcula nudist islands

Korcula Island has several naturist islands that are a real haven for your naturist vacations and relaxation. Between Korcula town and the small village of Lumbarda there are 19 small islands that form a small archipelago. Their names are : Badija, Kamenjak, Gojak, Planjak, Vrnik, Majsan, Majsanic, Gubavac, Knezic, Bisace, Sutvara, Stupe, Baretica, Lucnjak, Sestrice (Vela and Mala Sestrica), Gubavac and Skrpinjak. Islands are popular destinations for day trips from Korcula and the surrounding neighborhood. Only some of them are populated and only two of them are visited by naturist lovers. Badija and islands Stupe.

All islands are reachable by frequent taxi-boat services from Korcula Town harbor (Punta Jurana). Many hotels in Korcula organize trips to the islands as well.

Badija island - Nudist paradise

Badija is the largest island in the Korcula Archipelago located in the near vicinity of Korcula town. Badija island is 15 minutes away by boat from Korcula town.

Nudist islands Stupe two small gems

Stupe are two small islands located at the further east of Korcula archipelago. The larger on, named (Vela Stupa, Vela means big) is a well-liked naturist island. On this bigger island there is a small restaurant (Konoba) run by local family with reputation as a good place to eat and drink.

The smaller one (Mala Stupa) is known among local people as a place for rock jumping. There is a tall rock easily climbed to jump into sea deep enough. For beginners is recommended to start jumping feet first and for more courageous jumping head first. Find this two islands on the map of Korcula archipelago. Both islands are ideal for kids snorkeling and diving. These nudist islands are reachable only by boats from Korculo or Lumbarda village.

Nudist Islands - Prozid, Vela Luka, Korcula Island.

Vela Luka is only forty two kilometers from Korcula town, situated at the end of a big bay, enclosed by pine wooded island of Osjak. A beautiful islet Prozid, located at the entrance to Vela Luka, is famous for its beautiful beaches and clear blue sea. You can get there from Vela Luka by a taxi boats. This island is known as a ’the island of love’. It is a retreat of intact nature, and white pebbled nudist beach. Crystal sea and rocks within blossoming flora is a real haven for your naturist vacation.
