Palmizana, the best for honeymoons!

Palmizana is a small island in the

number of sunny hours in the Mediterranean. It's part of the Paklina
archipelago, positioned south of the island of Hvar. The tourist
complex of the Meneghello family comprises 300 hectars of
uninhabited virgin territory - a protected nature preserve, known
for it's lonely sand beaches and distinctive stone bungalows (60
beds) surrounded by an exotic botanical park and cristal clear sea.
Palmizana is an ideal holiday resort for anyone who desires high
class tourism, who wishes for something unique: a different kind of
holiday, harmony with nature, quietness...For the more active there is a rich
variety of different sport activities: from diving to under-water
safari, from sport or classic fishing to pheasant hunting and
sailing, from water skiing to windsurfing. Bars and restaurants only

How to get
here?
If
you are
coming to us by car, you can go to Rijeka or Split and then
take a ferry to
Hvar. From Split you can take a ferry for the island
of Hvar. The ferry that transports cars leaves 3 times a day (in the
high season even more frequently) and will stop in the port of
Starigrad, the second biggest town on the island of Hvar, which is
only a 20 minutes ride from Hvar town. The fast ferry (hydrofoil),
is for passengers only and goes directly from Split to Hvar town.
From Italy,
you can come by ship, specifically by car-ferries from Ancona to
Split or from Bari to Split, or Pescara to Split. They are crossing
the Adriatic during the whole year. In summer, you can take the
Pescara-Vis-H var speedboat.
If you
travel
by plane, the simplest way is to go to Split. You can get the best
rates at Croatia Airlines or the big tourist agencies, particularly
for charter-flights. When you are in Split, as we have already said,
there are daily ferries, hydrofoils and ships either to the town of
Hvar, or to the north port of the island, Starigrad. |
Where to
stay?
 In
a hundred years old pinon forrest, surrounded by tropical vegetation
a dozen bungalows and four buildings with several suites await you.
The bungalows - picturesque stone houses, each of them different,
are located just a few steps away from the sea. Each of them has its
own terrace surrounded by exotic plants. They are furnished in
romantic Mediterranean style, adorned with works by famous artists.
The bungalows are either two-room buildings with one bedroom and a
sitting room which can easily be turned into an additional bedroom,
or a studio floorplan with a bedding galery
instead of the second floor. Both types can accomodate from three to
six persons. Every bungalow has a wall ventilator and small fridge.
Traditional Mediterranean Cuisine
From Father To Son: 100 Years of Healthy Food

visited the Meneghello restaurants on Palmizana and enjoyed the
delicacies of the haute sea-food cuisine. |
