Private apartments in Croatia could be found everywhere. Most of them have very visible panels with labels "sobe" (rooms) or “apartmani" (apartments). Also, they offer their services by the local tourist agency, via Internet and by many other ways. You will notice that some house owners are offering “rooms” or “apartments” at the bus, train stations or ferry docks, obviously showing to all interested in private rentals.

Prices of private lodgings in Croatia depend of the tourist seasons, usually divided in low, mid, shoulder and high. The low season is from November to March and mid one is generally in April, May and October, while July and August are high season months. June and September are considered shoulder seasons when the prices are about 29% lower. Keep in mind that all prices include so-called ‘residence tax’ which varies from 2kn to 7kn.
