Sali - Dugi Otok (Long Island)

Sali , private accommodation!

It is the biggest village of the island Dugi Otok and have its name from the mediaeval salt production. Placed in the southern part of the island, it’s the resort closer to the National Park of Kornati, from which is 5 miles far away. Surrounded by olive woods, the village is extended between two bays that lodge the harbor (Porat) and the beaches.

In the village there are three restaurants, a hotel, three bars, four food shops, a newspaper kiosk, the post office, a doctor and two sub schools.

The small village on the Long Island

It is a place for a family holiday, ideal for visiting Kornati islands in your own or rented boat. It is usual that you hire a private accommodation, and in the morning you go by boat to see the Kornati archipelago, where you spend a whole day and in the evening return to have a dinner in one of Sali’s restaurants, sleep over, and in the morning, again ...

In august there is a famous "Saljske uzance" local fiesta, organized, that lasts for three (sometimes 4 days) and it is celebrating on the whole island and the entire archipelago. Donkey race is organized, usually on Sunday, during the time of fiesta.
