The best scuba diving sites in Croatia:
Kornati islands - Kornati national park
The sea of Sibenik archipelago is one of the most interesting diving areas of the Adriatic sea. The submarine world of the Kornati islands, of the islands of Kaprije, Kakanj, Zirje, Sokol, Blitvenica attracts more and more divers every year. It's the best place for your scuba diving vacations.
The Kornati area is virtually inexhaustible in its variety of locations offering quite specific types of underwater relief: steep walls teeming with life, underwater caves, crevices and passages covering a large area of northern Dalmatia. Diving centers located on the mainland (Murter, Vodice, Sibenik, Primosten) charge higher costs for accessing diving locations, but their position ensures that they also attract a greater number of divers.

Hvar Paklina islands
Pakleni islands are a group of islands located just off Hvar town. The name of this tiny archipelago (about twenty islets right opposite the town of Hvar) which extends undulating along the south side of Hvar comes from the word "paklina" (melted pine resin for 'rasping' boat plating). This archipelago is the most beautiful part of the Hvar Riviera and beside the most popular beaches it is a place of some very interesting diving spots. Diving club in Hvar town.
Brac diving site – Lucice Cave
On the island of Brac one can find numerous interesting sites for diving. One of the most beautiful is Lucice Cave. It is located on the south-east coast of the island, closer to Milna than Bol. It is the biggest cove in this area and it has five smaller coves.
At the coves exit, only 5m from the shore and at a depth of 3m, there is an entrance to the underwater cave descending vertically to 25m. Diving is possible throughout the entire cave under daylight, except in the tunnel, where underwater torches are required.

Rovinj - Baron Gautsch - Wreck of a Passenger Ferry
The waters around Istria are shallower, of lesser clarity and visibility than elsewhere in the Adriatic Sea. However, they do abound in one of the most popular attractions in diving tourism - shipwrecks. Among the best known wrecks of the northern Adriatic is undoubtedly the passenger ship Baron Gautsch, lying immediately before Rovinj, a location where about ten diving centres are operating.

Elafiti islands - St. Andrew wall
The Elafiti islands, opposite Dubrovnik at the southern end of the country, with the beautiful, sandy beaches, are approx. 20 minutes by boat from Dubrovnik. There are fourteen islands in the Elafiti group. Only three of them are inhabited (Kolocep, Lopud and Sipan).
Three miles from the island of Kolocep,, 2M from Lopud and 4M from Sipan, Sv. Andrija (St. Andrew) lighthouse was built in 1873 on the top of the islet with the same name. The islet is about 400 m long, 80 m wide and completely covered by pine trees. The lighthouse has two apartments that can be rented for your scuba diving vacations. The most beautiful place to dive is the outer wall of the island. There is a magnificent underwater wall descending almost vertically from 3m to 78m. Various fish, corals and algae cover the wall. At 26 m there is a cave and if you have adequate equipment and experience to go deeper than 50m you'll be able to see famous red coral, used by locals for jewelry making. Location is suitable for both beginners and advanced categories.
