Island of Silba

Silba private accommodation!

Silba is island of Zadar’s archipelago, north of Zadar. It is is a small island, 8 km long, on whose narrowest part (700 m wide) is located the same name settlement on the island. On this calm island there are no vehicles and no hotels, only private accommodations.

Sotorisce, the best sandy beachThe most beautiful sandy beach on the island, Sotorisce, is located right in front of the village. Numerous footpaths all over the island lead to other nice beaches and bays. Sotorisce is definitely the biggest and the most popular  beach.

Its bottom surface is completely covered with sand which in combination with sun reflection creates beautiful light green color of the sea. This bay is situated in the center of the island, on the north-east side, and is only 250m away from the center. It is very easily accessible. A cold drink or ice cream is available in the nearby café bar "Fortuna". The beach is also equipped with a beach volleyball, basketball & football courts as well as few table tennis tables. There is also a possibility of renting small rowing boats so fun & recreation are guaranteed. Taken from http://www.silba.org/

How to arrive to this island?
The island is exactly on the old route: Venezija, Pula, Mali Losinj, Zadar, or Rijeka, Rab, Zadar.
Thanks to its position it has excellent and fast connections with a mainland from Zadar, Rijeka , Pula and with Ancona(Italy) via Zadar.
