Kids' snorkeling - Croatia's family and
sandy beaches!

More alternative snorkeling and family beaches!

Croatia Adriatic coast is family friendly

If you are not up to deep sea diving, kids snorkeling will enhance your holiday by enjoying undersea life. Bring your own GEAR or rent it at your vacation spot in Croatia. Share the joy of finding under water fish, plants, fish eggs, and coral in the crystal clear waters of the Adriatic as a family vacation or with your friends.

Looking for a relaxing day at the beach where where children can be entertained with different activities and play safely in shallow water? Most of the beaches in Croatia are pebbly, rocky and narrow, but they have the cleanest waters in the Mediterranean.

On each beach you will find many families with kids so basically the whole coast is family friendly. Still, there are some beaches which offer more to families with children, from all sorts of diving or windsurfing activities, waterslides and other water sports for older children, pines shades and a nice place for children to have a ice cream and mom and dad a cold beer.

Croatian coast doesn't abound in sandy beaches, but lack of sand ensures the waters are some of the clearest and cleanest in the world. Still, for all of you nothing-but-sandy beach fans, who simply do not feel right without sand in the unmentionables, here's a list of some of the most known sandy beaches in Croatia.

If your favorite beach is missing please contact us and let us know.

Some technical advices to keep in consideration when choosing a right snorkeling equipment for your kids. Our snorkeling and scuba diving shop is the right place to make a right decision!

Snorkels and Accessories

Accidently inhaling a mouthful of seawater is probably the single biggest annoyance in diving and snorkeling. To avoid this, most snorkel designs today feature some form of splash protection (to keep water out) and purge valve (to clear any water that does enter the snorkel).

If you need to rent equipment for this type of diving our scuba diving shops can provide you with the necessary gear. A good MASK must fit your face well so that it will not constantly leak. Comfort is also a concern, plus the field of vision that varies from mask to mask. Look for a diving mouthpiece that is soft with edges that are flexible so it will be comfortable in your mouth.

FINS for your feet are optional, but they do help you get down in the water faster so you can see more is a shorter time with each breath of air. If you do opt to rent FINS, it is important that they fit well so you will not get blisters. Our professional shops will help you in selecting the correct fitting gear for your new experience.

Croatia's most spectacular is the vast, golden pebble beach, almost 580 yards long, known as the Zlatni Rat (Golden Horn), Bol, Island Brac

If you are looking for Dubrovnik beach, my favorite beaches are: Banje beach and Kopakabana ( Copacabana) Beach near Babin Kuk. The most beautiful Brela beaches are situated between Split and Makarska riviera. Hvar is the most attractive Croatia’s island. Its beaches are mostly pebble and rocky. Omis is a popular rafting destination and there are beaches stretching from Dugi Rat in the west to Ravnice in the east.
