Old stone house in Istria!

Looking for Istria old stone house property?

If your dream property in Croatia is the well known old Istria house or just old stone house you wouldn't be the first one. Many foreign buyers looking for property in Croatia fall in love with these charming old properties that can tell you the history of the place in theirs well pilled stones.

Istria is an area where this type of construction flowered a couple of centuries ago and that can be seen in the many little tows all around this magic peninsula in the blue Adriatic Sea.

The good deal with this kind of property seems to get it renovated. Many buyers have done some rework and after that they have successfully rented it out. However, renovating an old  house in Istria or in the whole Croatia isn't easy. Lots of paperwork have to be done before, don't forget to get all the planning permissions. Some old  houses are protected by the state for historical reason and can't be externally touched.

If you have the patience and passion to carry on with such a challenge then do it. The reward is high as the rental possibilities are soaring for the old stone style. In Istria, some owners are getting up to 2000 Euros a week in high season! Off course, you have to equip your old stone house with good features. A swim pool is almost a must so you should consider that seriously when setting your property budget.

Property in Istria, Croatia is affordable, old stone houses are one of the cheapest ones but there is extra cost involved in the renovation that has to be in mind.
