Very good hotel, but quiet in October

My wife and I stayed at the Dubrovnik Palace for 6 nights in October 2008. We booked through Airmiles.co.uk and paid around 900 for the 6 nights. We’d booked a superior double room but on check-in we were given a free upgrade to a junior suite, potentially because there were very few guests in the hotel at the time.

Overall we’d definitely recommend this hotel. We were confused by the "it’s definitely not 5*" comments below as we thought everything was great, it was very clean, all staff were very polite, friendly and helpful, and quality was high.
